Therapy is not
one-size-fits-all.

Approach — Little Blue Door Therapy

Every person brings a unique history, set of experiences, strengths, and challenges into the therapy room. My approach is collaborative, individualized, and grounded in the belief that meaningful healing happens when clients feel both supported and understood.

I draw from evidence-based practices while tailoring treatment to the needs of each client. Together, we'll work to better understand your experiences, identify patterns that may no longer be serving you, and develop new ways of moving forward.

Modality

EMDR

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy approach designed to help individuals process and heal from distressing experiences. EMDR can be particularly effective for trauma, anxiety, negative self-beliefs, and experiences that continue to feel emotionally "stuck." Rather than simply talking about what happened, EMDR helps the brain process experiences in a way that allows them to feel less overwhelming.

Modality

Trauma-Focused CBT

TF-CBT is a specialized, evidence-based approach designed to help children, adolescents, and families heal from the impact of trauma. It helps clients better understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing practical skills to manage distress, build resilience, and process difficult experiences.

Framework

Attachment & Relationship-Focused Work

Many of the challenges we face as adults are shaped by our earliest relationships and experiences. Together, we may explore patterns related to trust, boundaries, self-worth, emotional connection, and relationships in order to better understand how past experiences continue to influence the present.

Philosophy

Beyond Symptom Management

While reducing symptoms is important, therapy is about more than simply feeling better. My goal is to help clients develop deeper insight, strengthen their relationship with themselves, improve their connections with others, and create lasting change that extends beyond the therapy room.

Practice

Working Beyond Words

Sometimes experiences are too painful, overwhelming, or complex to fully capture in words. When appropriate, I incorporate creative and expressive interventions, including art-based approaches, to help clients process emotions in ways that may feel safer and more accessible. You do not need to be artistic to benefit from this work — the goal is not to create something beautiful, but to create understanding.

What it feels like

What therapy with me feels like.

Clients often describe my style as warm, collaborative, direct, and authentic.

I believe therapy works best when it feels like a genuine human connection. Not a place where you're expected to have all the answers, but a place where you can be honest about what's difficult, curious about what's possible, and supported as you work through the challenges that brought you here.
